Just changed to 2 handed-Advice as I progress

Post by ecchiro »

I just went two handed and have maybe bowled 30 games. Looking for advice and things to focus on as I go so I don't learn inappropriately. Thanks. The video is through Coach's Eye

Overall looks pretty good.
During the down swing I see two things happening:
1) Your down swing is working away from your body.
2) Both hands rotate around the ball too soon.

I’ve attached similar positions of Jason B for comparison:

1) In slide 1 notice how far the ball is away from your left leg and how far your right hand has moved around the ball as compared to his position.

2) In slide 2 his left hand leaves the ball much earlier than yours.

3) Staying behind the ball longer allows Jason’s right hand to support the ball weight and then move through and around the ball during his release.

4) Your early rotation requires the left hand to stay on longer in order for you to be able to project the ball to the right.

Work on emulating Jason's postions.
