In need of some help with my game

Post by Mentobe13 »

I have been struggling lately with my arm swing and release. It seems as though they are really causing all of my consistency problems. I have been working on straightening my swing out and these videos are what I have been able to accomplish so far.

Hi Jason,

You have a very good game!

My suggestion: Make a copy of this video and store it in a safety deposit box!

Whenever, you feel as though you game is off, get out the video and watch it, over and over.

Again, you have a very good game. But I do have one suggestion for you.

I love the pace of your footwork, what I don't like is your third step.

All your steps are heel then toe except the third one.

It is a short shuffle type step, basically just slides up the floor a short distance.

Shuffle steps are usually quick and SHORT, your doesn't disappoint.

The combination of this short step and your momentum results in an increase in your forward spine
tilt (see slide S4).

Your athleticism allows you to recover from this into a good finishing position.

My suggestion:
Work on changing this into a heel then toe step like all the others.
Doing this should help you to maintain your spine tilt from start to finish.
Also may make your game feel more rhythmic overall.
As a good bowler, feel is everything.
