To start the ball rolling -
The first two things I noticed was her footwork and the fact she stops too far behind the foul line.
I would suggest viewing the following video set which is available on the wiki.
First, I'd recommend emulating the footwork as illustrated by Del Warren.

For future videos be sure to capture the entire bowler in the video, her feet are not visible in the shot.

The video on the wiki has useful drills and guidelines.

Hi Jacquelyn,

Your current physical game is very good overall with the potential to be even better.
While there are other elements in your physical game I could address, let's focus on the one element that I believe will have an immediate impact on your game.

I've attached slides of your Side & Back Views.

Also, attached is a comparison of Verity Crawley and you at similar positions.

In the Side View Slide, I like all that I see happening from S1 to S3.
So let's focus on what is happening from S3 to S5.
The ball is swung from its placement position in S3 to the top of your swing in S5 by using the muscles of the right arm / right shoulder and a little trunk rotation.
This overuse of muscles going back results in overuse of the shoulders coming into the release area.

Let's now look at you and Verity slide comparison.

From BA1 to BA3 the change in ball position after placement to the top is as I mentioned all arm and shoulder motion. Your back angle (the red line) has changed very little.

Verity's ball position change from placement to the top of her swing was influenced by the increase in her back angle (red line).

Sir Issac Newton stated, "That for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction".

In BA2 your head position is still behind your left foot (blue line).
Verity's has head has moved substantially forward due to the increase in her back angle as the swing moves upward towards the top.

Let's use Sir Issac Newton's advice and use the change in back angle to propel the swing to the top rather than the muscles of the arm and shoulder.

Drill 1 No Ball:

1) Stand with both feet together.
2) Bend forward at the waist, putting your left palm on the left knee and your right palm on your right knee.
3) Now remain in this position, let your left arm hang naturally down and swing your right arm back to the top of swing position.
4) This is the position your upper body should be in at the top of your swing.

Drill 2:
1) Setup with a ball
2) After completing your step 2 (S3 slide) bend the back forward (try to achieve the back angle you felt in the first drill with no ball) as the swing travels back and up.
3) You will probably have to feel as though you over bend the back forward to achieve the position in the first drill.
4) Take some video to monitor this change.

Once you can achieve more back angle comfortably post new video for analysis.

Spend a lot of time and effort, this move is key to taking your game to another level.

Also, move up on the approach as KAJMK suggested.

Thanks for the opportunity.
Coach Jim
