True or false. You make the decision
True or false:Knowing how a ball is best used is more valuable than knowing what a ball does.

True. However, I would say knowing "when" a ball is best used is better than how. But both are better than what a ball does. If that makes any sense.
Re: True or false. You make the decision
Knowing the essence of the ball's intent is a necessary condition for how it can be best used.

Knowing how a ball is best used is irrelevant once its drilled. The same drilling in the same ball for 2 different bowlers will not necesscarly have the same reaction. Understanding YOUR equipment and how it rolls for you on specific conditions is more valuable than predetermining where a ball will fit in your aresenal.
I agree with Gary's comments as well.

Re: True or false. You make the decision
I say TRUE.....
It is more important to know when to use it than what it does. Why? Because the ball is just one piece of the puzzle. There have been plenty of times when I have pulled a ball out of my bag and used it on shots "where it shouldn't have been used." Why? Because the bowler is a bigger piece of the puzzle than the ball itself.
Just because a ball is supposed to be a skid/ flip ball does not mean it's going to be a go 48 feet and turn dead left for EVERYBODY.....
Knowing when to use the ball is more important, in my eyes.
