Think I'm getting very close to saying good bye to BR.com!

Post by charlest »

Somebody asked about a friend not carrying on a house shot. Trying to be helpful I posed 3 possible suggestions
1. House wall patterns hiding difference between balls: he may not be using the right ball.
2. House wall patterns allowing us to use the "stand left, throw right" philosophy, allowing us to lose sight of targeting, timing and release and ball speed consistency issues.
3.Ball maintenance: is keeping his dull balls dull and polished balls polished.

I listed them in that order with no specification of any importance.

Some idiot/moron stated

"Yes, because we all know that ball maintenance is much more important than good timing, good release, and playing the lanes correctly. Sheesh. "

as if I had only talked ONLY about ball maintenance or as if I had said that was the most important item in the three I mentioned.

How stupid, blind, selfish or moronic can people be?

I may have taken my last insult based on people not being able to read English.

Its sad that a website with such a large community and so many good posters has so many people that are just ignorant and have no respect. Many members have left and they probably don't even post on forums anymore and that pains me as I've learned a ton through the forums from many different posters and because of dingbats and kids with no respect a lot of them aren't around at all or don't post much.

More moderation could help but I guess it seems that the younger generation just wasn't taught respect.

Some people are juust stupid and ignorant, you can't deny that, but it's just too bad they're internet people that you can't actually confront without it being called "harrassnebt.: Also, in my defense, there are at least some people in the youngery generation that have respect and were brought up with proper morals. I'd like to say I am one of them, but I don't want to be all conceited and such, so I'll say my brother is a good example, and he's 18 =D It's just all the douches (Is that word allowed?) that stick out, so I apologize for them.

If you're not one of them, there's no need to apologize for someone else's bad behavior. But please realize that bad behavior is not limited to younger people. There are many older people just as badly behaved. It has to do with the person, not their age.

The person is just a puppet looking for a argument and attention. The less
you pay attention, the sooner they go away.

A lot of the time it comes down to the environment being fostered by the forums. You will often find that someone will respond in one tone of one forum, while replying in a completely different manner on another.

Honestly a bowling discussion forum that has more activity in the non-bowling discussion area of the forum is a joke. That site has turned into a political hot bed. I dont get onto a bowling site to read threads bashing Obama or who ever else these people feel like attacking. There are plenty of political themed forum sites out their to post your opinions. That has got to be one of the worst signs that BR is on its last legs. Dont get me wrong I can appreciate a good politcal satire or joke every once in a while but not to the point that 50% of all the new threads are that style of post.
