Polished bus sanded ball
I once read that if you play the inside line your ball should be polished more than sanded. Inside, polished and outside ( down and in) sanded to bring the ball back in to the pocket….has anybody read that or know where to find that article?

Re: Polished bus sanded ball
that seems exactly backward to me. If you're playing on the outside, you're in friction/low oil so I'd think you'd want polish; if you're inside, you're in the oil so you'd want sanded . . .

Re: Polished bus sanded ball
It will depend on who is throwing the ball (ball roll stats), the oil pattern and how many games have been bowled on the pattern. There is no simple one rule fits all approach.
