Re: Score Point System
This particular league scoring consists of 10 points per game making it 34 points for the series total.
2 points for team game and 2 points for each individual game and 4 points for team series.
All scores are figured with handicap.
In game 1 the straight shooters lost the team game and split the individual games 2 to 2
So they got 2 points for each individual game = 4. The Lane Busters received 2 points for each of their individual wins and 2 more points for the team game = 6.
Games 2 and 3 the Straight Shooters won 3 out of 4 individual games and wont the team game so they received 8 points. The Lane Busters only won 1 individual game so they got 2 points in games 2 and 3.
Team series or also referred to as Total Pins with Handicap, the Straight shooters won that 4 points.
So the final sore for the evening was Straight Shooters 24 Lane Busters 10.

Re: Score Point System
Ahhhh - it's a match-point system that doesn't count individual series totals. That got me for a bit. . .
Each individual game (Bowler A vs Bowler 1) is worth 2 points each so Bowler 1 earned 2 points for games 1 and 3 and Bowler A earned 2 points for game 2. Etc. BUT - no total series for individuals so even though Bowler 1 beat Bowler B 649-622, no points awarded there.
Each individual team game is worth 2 points so SS beat LB in games 2 and 3 for 2 points each and LB got 2 points for game 1.
THEN, there are 4 points for total which SS got (2507-2464).
I LOVE Match Point - if you can adjust your lineup. We had it that the Right Lane was "home" and got to adjust their lineup as they wanted. Strategy AND bowling? Sign me up!

Re: Score Point System
This looks like a simple 4 point scoring system.
One point per team handicap game and one point for team handicap total.
I would ask Randy Pratt your league secretary if this is the case.
Or you could compare the league standing sheets from one week to the next and see how the point totals change to verify.

Re: Score Point System
I broke it all out, Eric. It's not a simple scoring system - it's match point (minus individual series).EricHartwell wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2021, 3:23 pm This looks like a simple 4 point scoring system.

Re: Score Point System
Gondar - THAT system is a pretty simple scoring system (sorry Eric if that was what you were referring to. I was still on OP. mea cupla for posting on low coffee levels)
It's 2 points per team game and 1 point for total.
