BTU?

Probably a dumb question--or an uniformed bowler. When bowlers refer to their "BTU" especially when trying to add surface or make adjustments on the lane,is that a particular urethane or brand of specific ball? I am mostly a Storm/Roto bowler--no urethane. One T-Zone for spares. I found one reference to a Brunswick Fanatic BTU=Better Than Urethane?)
Thanks
Yak

Yes, Typically when you see a reference to "BTU" (Better Than Urethane) that's referring to the Brunswick Fanatic BTU ball. Basically it's like a weak resin ball that's supposed to offer a "urethane" like ball reaction with some of the advantages of a resin ball.
