this is not the normal “I just don’t want to show up”. Good faith should allow them to pay refunds. Why put people in the position to eat the money or be put in harms way? Reschedule or something reasonable given the hysteria of everything else being closed or cancelled the past 48 hours

If everyone would check SBC's facebook page, this issue has been updated refunds will be issued:

Hello SBC bowling family.

This weekends SBC squads will bowl as scheduled. However, due to the Governor’s proclamation and with the pandemic of the Coronavirus, the remaining 3 weekends of the tournament will be cancelled. Refunds will be issued to those scheduled to bowl the last 3 weekends. Those who chose not to bowl this 1st weekend due to the potential risk will also be refunded. The annual meeting is also being cancelled.

Please be safe in your travels and if you are in the higher risk category please limit yourself to crowds.

From email:

USBC COVID-19 UPDATE

The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) has postponed or suspended scheduled national events through the end of April due to concerns about COVID-19. Additionally, until further notice, USBC is suspending staff travel unless travel is deemed mission critical to the organization.

USBC recommends USBC state and local associations also postpone or suspend mass gathering events, meetings and travel in the best interest of public health. While individual state and local requirements related to mass gatherings are evolving, USBC recommends associations be proactive in considering the wellbeing of their members.

USBC has developed a Frequently Asked Questions guide to assist our associations, leagues and tournaments with rules and procedures related to postponing or canceling events.

USBC staff is available to answer any specific questions or concerns.

I got to leave for it in the next 30 min. If I didn't have people down there already I would cancel myself. If people on my team don't show up I guess we can cancel. We had booked the 28th but sent it in the day before and all of those were booked.

Team captains have received notice of their options.

Teams can reschedule with no charge, cancel with full refund, or move their entry to the 2021 tournament.

There is a covid-19 update on the home page of bowl.com click on it.

Here is a link to FAQ.

The start date has now been moved to May 23rd and the tournament has been extended to August 29.

But I'm starting to doubt it will ever be held.
