Storm equivalent to Hammer Statement solid?
Any opinions?
Re: Storm equivalent to Hammer Statement solid?
Nothing wrong with Hammer at all.
I'm just right now doing some comparisons and getting opinions from other bowlers.
I'm interested in finding out just how similar bowling balls are to each other.

coverstocks could be night and day difference, so if you like that shape it’s hard to say that the Physix would be similar. But the numbers are almost identical.

Comparing coverstocks especially between different companies is just a guess unless you roll them side by side on the same condition with the same layouts on them.

Re: Storm equivalent to Hammer Statement solid?
There is no Storm ball that is equivalent to a Hammer ball, any more than there is any Hammer ball that is equivalent to a Storm Ball. As Eric said, there is too much variation in cover materials, and they tell you as little about them as possible, other than marketing rhetoric. Ask them about the coefficient in oil, the coefficient on dry, or the oil absorption rate, and you'll always get the same reply, "What?"
