"My job as a teacher really is to unteach them." Dan Levitin

I wanted to make a comment here to compliment all the folks who seek to help and those encourage and endeavor to help. Each side of that transaction helps grow the sport and sportsmanship.

While trying to figure out what to say, I recalled the bit of wisdom conveyed in the short video at the link below. Since I could not think of a better title, I quoted Dan.

Choosing the right words and phrasing is not always easy, I struggle and too often fail. One of my objectives is not to offend or disparage. I believe most of us feel the same way. I'm reminded of the fact that writers of anything published, have editors and proof readers, not only for grammar, readability and facts, but to provide feedback before publication. That's a luxury most of us do not have, thus occasionally, things can come across has being harsh.

I Saw this recently during the PBS newshour, it's an occasional feature.
Take a few minutes and watch it, complete text is also there.

May all beings everywhere be happy and free,
and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life
contribute in some way to that happiness
and to that freedom for all.
