Good questionbowlaj wrote:Ball reviews say:

I do not do ball reviews and really don't want to speak for those that do.
I would interpret it to mean the ball does not deflect off the pocket.
When I match up and roll the ball well every ball in my arsenal has good continuation through the pins. Even my pancake core plastic ball.
It is subjective. Quite often you no nothing about the bowler doing the review, the lane condition it was used on or the layout.

Re: What is meant by "the ball going thru the pins?"
That should mean the ball got into the roll phase at the proper time (did not burn up and has a lot of energy left). The ball hits the pins and I believe it exit to the side of the 8 pin. It doesn't deflect to the 9 pin. The easiest way to know if the ball went though the pins is to watch where the ball falls off in the pin deck. if it goes toward the 9 the ball was weak (burned up some etc), if the ball also goes and exit the 8 pin itself it could be bad also. That might be complicated there. I would take the first sentence I wrote and forget the rest.
