Many athletes and aspiring competitors would benefit from reading books on the psychological aspects as they pertain to your game. There are several on the list on the wiki page.

This is a bowling forum, but don't limit your reading and research to bowling only!!!!

It is known that one cannot out bowl a bad fit nor can one out coach that fit.
The same is true about how well our attitude and emotions fit the competitive environment.
I have a friend that underacheived, mostly due to how he dealt with and perceived things.
Neither he nor you are unique in that respect. It is not an indictment, not a sin, not a flaw.

Ritger and Kouros, two coaching icons put heavy emphasis on the mental side of the game.
The mental game is only partially x's and o's, it's about feelings, attitudes, perceptions, emotions and so on.
A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
Forge every link of mind and body as best you can.
You will have a better shot at enjoying your sport and more importantly your life.

A change in attitude may change your physical games altitude.

Never forget, it is very easy to do harm , difficult to help.
Everyone that tries to help, grows in some way. Ways we may not even contemplate.
Any coach will tell you, they have learned something from many of their students.

The emotional side of life is more important than the physical. We have only to look at the accomplishments and spirit of those whom life has dealt injury or illness and thusly physically handicapped.

Musical interlude ...

Cheerio!
