When and why to use one of the most effective adjustments in bowling. Ball Up or Ball Down.
(Video is by Bowlers Edge Pro Shop and features several Radical balls: Guru Supreme, Guru Master and others)

Some examples of:
ball motion: Smooth, Hook Set and Skid Snap.
Where ball should leave pin deck and causes of 10pin, 9pin and 4pin leaves.
When to Ball up or Ball down.

Great video and layman explanation.

However, the tactic looks the same for all situations, i.e., ball up if you are using weak equipment, or vice versa.

Also, how the ball motion comes into play, isn't quite explained in the video. My guess is

Skip/snap - retain more energy, equivalent to ball down
Hook/set - loss energy quicker, equivalent to ball up
Smooth - medium
