Last night in league, I witnessed the highest series I've ever seen live. A guy on the pair to our right shot games of 298, 300, 279 for an 877 series. His only bad shot was the last ball in the first game where he got a little fast with the speed and left a 3-7 split (yes, he's a lefty). His only spare was in the fourth frame of the third game where he left a seven.
This series set the house record. The Pennsylvania state record is 879 by Tommy Gollick, so he was oh so close to that.
I'm trying to imagine if he would have carried that seven pin and shot 898.
Gotta brag a little

According to USBC's site the Pa. State record is 900 by Jeff Campbell and shot in 2004. Otherwise it would have been my brother Dean Wolf who would hold the record. He shot 898 in 2005.
Still that is an awesome series.

Thanks for the updated info. Obviously, I got some bad or old information.Daryl wrote:According to USBC's site the Pa. State record is 900 by Jeff Campbell and shot in 2004. Otherwise it would have been my brother Dean Wolf who would hold the record. He shot 898 in 2005.
