I stumbled upon this video tonight after revisiting some fine video by Jason Doust.

This video is by Ray Wong.

It runs 15:32
My opinions -
It could be one of the most important quarter hours many bowlers could spend.

(Added this comment Oct 18 2018 -
One of the things that Ray illustrates in this video is a very simple effective spare system in this video.)

In my opinion, this is a very fine piece of work and would benefit many beginning to intermediate level bowlers
This video deserves hundreds of thousands of view.

I think Ray has packed a lot of potency into barely over a quarter hour.

I'm very interested in what the readers of this forum think of Ray Wong's presentation.
Please consider watching it and offering your review and giving Ray some feedback.

As I said I think this is a fine piece of work. Technology can do so much for our sport.
Education is a big key. Ray's video educates.

Anyone know this man? If so, please extend my compliments. Kudos for a job well done.

Nice video, this powerpoint presentation was great. It was clear amd easy to understand and provided good jumping off points for further discussions on differing subjects.

Folks, if you can, let Ray know what you think, I'm sure he'd like feedback and to know he is helping to grow the sport.

The views on this are now over 10k.
One of the comments by John Rocksvold has some questions about ball motion etc. that suggest he could benefit from participating on bowlingchat.
I do not have a YouTube account or I would have invited him aboard.
If anyone reading this hasa YouTube account and would care to invite John and other inquisitive minds please do.

Take care.

My basic argument to his video is not all centers have range finders. Those of us who don't have that "luxury" we have to keep our focus down lane more or have teammates do it for us so we can then make the proper adjustments to see where the ball is exiting the pattern properly. If we did have range finders it would make it easier and faster to make proper adjustments but when you don't have that you are at the mercy of your eyes and lane transition. I'd like to see what the averages of those who have range finders vs those who don't have range finders to see who has the higher avg.

Good question and reply.
I've cut and pasted your comment and Ray's reply

Lane Quenemoen
Not all bowling alleys have lanes with range finders so those of us who bowl on lanes without range finders in my opinion are better bowlers because we have to pay more attention to  where the ball is exiting the pattern since we don't have a visual sight to move off of. We basically have to guess from shot to shot or have someone look to see where the ball is exiting so we can make a proper adjustment.

Ray Wong
+Lane Quenemoen This is why I mentioned the use of pin deck light reflection and ball return cover planks.  There are also dark and light boards that can be used for targets.  This video is strictly awareness information, just in case yoiu bowl on lanes with range finders, you would be aware of what's out there.  By having teammates to assist is a very good practice.  This is what college team and national competition is all about.  Keep helping each other and enjoy the sport of bowling

Great video! You are so right, its a wealth of information that intermediate bowlers must have. I believe it is a bit too much and too technical for beginners.

I edited the initial post to add a special note regarding the spare system Ray teaches in this short video.
Del Warren commented that many collegiate tournaments are lost by a missed spare.
The impetus for bumping this topic is the frequent mention of missed spares.
Even Walter Ray Williams Jr missed. I saw him miss 1 ...
Parker Bohn III a great spare shooter himself, said that if he missed more than 1 single pin spare in a PBA weeks worth of bowling, he figured he needed to practice spare shooting.

We also have a link to Ray's video on the wiki.
