As was mentioned on the Robby Tape, staying upright and balanced is good for survival and bowling too.

Key word, atrophy. Muscles we do not use or challenge sufficiently will eventually exhibit the price of neglect.
As a bowler, your footwork is a major component of quality and consistency.
Subtle changes occur daily. At some point, a threshold can be reached where you notice a difference. You don't have to be a senior.
Don't wait for symptoms to occur.
In the video, he presents a simple test, stand on one foot for 30 seconds. Note well the use of a wall or other sturdy object as a SAFETY VALVE Don't be surprised or discouraged if you can't. This is simple, stuff that can play dividends as you age. If you can pass the test, consider check back periodically, like an oil change or visit to the dentist.
It's easier on a hard surface and without shoes.
As with many exercises, start easy, challenge progressively.
Carpeting and pillows are more difficult.
You are engaging some muscles many folks never consider.

In Mark Bakers video, he shows close up slow motion of the impeccable foot work of Chris Barnes.
He probably travels and arrives as planned with extreme consistency, certainly a hallmark of accuracy, and the legs are your major power source.
