Learning opportunities

Post by kajmk »

Over the years, Jim Merrell has done analysis and provided detailed plans for improvement for a myriad of bowler's.

I wanted to point out, that there is much to be learned by studying his work.

There is something to be learned in EVERY one of his lesson plans, because EVERY bowler is UNIQUE. When Jim cites cause and effect, that is a gold nugget not to be overlooked.

Jim has been one of the anchor attractions of Bowling Chat providing analysis and prescriptions for progress and improvement plans for hundreds(?) of bowler's.
In my opinion, his attention to the needs of a myriad of bowler's is an EXCELLENT resource for would be coaches.

One such example is Jim's lesson plans for TWO HANDED BOWLERS. There is a paucity of instructional material for that style.

Oh yes, there are numerous golden Merrell moments on the wiki too.

Given time and resources, one could create a binder with text and graphics rendered by our
Resident coaching Maestro, who played so long on our street "For Free". (Joni Mitchell song)

So thanks to the Maestro.
May all beings everywhere be happy and free,
and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life
contribute in some way to that happiness
and to that freedom for all.
