My ball speed is on the high side, but with learning the drop shoulder routine the ball speed has increased.
I am working on slowing it down , but am asking will the benefits of the dropped shoulder over come the ball speed?
My coach has said when i learn the inline step this should slow the feet then ball speed down. Would this be the case?
cheers...

Put a slide sock on your non slide shoe. This will force you to slow down your steps. see this post,"A Solution for Fast Feet"

This solution has helped me to slow my footwork down and I have last almost 3 mph off my ball speed and am now almost matched between speed and revs.

a ball that is played out of a "free" swing can never be too fast. Learn to swing the ball free till releaseand you will see how your speed goes down and your revrate will raise.
You can use a lot of tricks to solve your speedproblem but finaly you will end up with a better swing. DonĀ“t waste time-- learn to pendel.
