Jim,
When you get a chance, can you post some pictures of Kelly Kulick and her flat wrist throughout the swing?

Re: Flat wrist - Jim M
Kelley has many good attributes in her game.
1) Good baseline fit
2) Minimal grip pressure
3) Stable wrist position throughout her swing.
4) Head over the ball during her release
5) Releases axis tilt during the release
6) Text book knee continuation at the finish
Mimic all these and your game will improve.

Thanks for pictures. Notice where her elbow and ball position are during set up, this seems to be standard for top level bowlers (Barnes, Jones, Duke, Rash, Weber, Kent. etc). Being a taller person the ball next to chest method makes me fell all bunched up. Kulick, Duke and Kent all start in this position and have a push away, i understand they are the best in the world but can this be taught?

The real question is not can it be taught.....BUT .....will the student receive the information presented to them and do as instructed.......Steve S

Thanks Steve, great post.
Feeling better already.
It's very simple, if asked for advice I give it. If the student chooses not to follow my advise; I am ok with that. However I then advise the student to seek out another coach as my time is valuable and I'm not spending it on a debating session.

I understand coaching ...teaching or leading ....parenting .....I have trained dogs for almost 40 years raised a couple of kids ,teach a Sunday school class, coached kids and adults in bowling for numerous years....Working with a grand son at the present ...All we can do is lead and instruct..They have to receive and apply.....You give a lot of time to this forum and it should be appreciated by those receiving instruction ....Thanks ..Steve S ....

You saw from my practice session and our discussion Saturday that i am on board with what you are teaching. I feel like i implemented the things you have taught to best of my physical ability.
