Layout on Bedlam
Mo,
I was able to get a Columbia Bedlam and Rotogrip Rogue Cell for free, and was curious how to drill them up.
Here are my stats:
Ball Speed: 18.5 mph (in the heads)
Rev Rate: 450 rpm
PAP: 4 7/8 over 1/2 up
Axis Rotation: 45 deg
Axis Tilt: 3 deg
Here is what I have in my arsenal:
Hy-Road: 70 by 4 1/2 by 40 with a P2 hole (4000)
Reign of Fire: Double Thumb (1000)
Natural: 60 / 4 / 35 with a P2 hole
Thanks...

Re: Layout on Bedlam
Sorry, I noticed you gave me a layout for the Rogue on the last layout request. So if you could just provide me a layout for the Bedlam.

Re: Layout on Bedlam
Looking at the Bedlam info, it's very similar to the MoRich FRENZY. I, also noticed that ALL the balls you listed were symmetrical. The Bedlam is asymmetrical and, therefore, should give you a different look.Motogp69 wrote:Sorry, I noticed you gave me a layout for the Rogue on the last layout request. For the Bedlam, I recommend: 60 / 3 1/2 / 40 with a P3 hole. Start with 2000 surface.

Mo, I just lucked into a Blast Zone, that my friend got as extra in a trade for a 14lb Mission. Any thoughts on how to drill that to compliment the other balls listed and the new Bedlam?
Thanks, since you've helped me with my layouts I've completely busted my slump.

One more request. I won a Power Groove Reactive on Ebay for a dollar plus shipping, so I was curious what you would recommend in terms of layout for that ball?

Re: Layout on Bedlam
Where are you located? To be accurate, you will need to use a DeTerminator. Maybe there's one near you. It's an absolutely great ball if you can spin it to find the PSA undrilled.Motogp69 wrote:One more request. I'm in Orlando, Florida. I typically get my stuff drilled by Erik Ramos.Mo Pinel wrote: Where are you located? To be accurate, you will need to use a DeTerminator. Maybe there's one near you. It's an absolutely great ball if you can spin it to find the PSA undrilled.
Re: Layout on Bedlam
Also, you gave me a layout for the Blast Zone, but not a starting point on the surface. I'm assuming you'd like me to start at box which is 800 grit, but what does that equate to in Abralon?
Thanks for all of your help.
Thanks for all of your help.

3 pads for 15 is about as good as prices go on that stuff!
Plus, John Jameson, the owner of Innovative is often here under the name Ballspinner

Mo, you never stated if there was anyone in the Orlando, Florida area with a determinator. Is there any other way to find the PSA?Mo Pinel wrote: Where are you located? How would you layout the Power Groove?

Re: Layout on Bedlam
The DeTerminator is the only accurate way to find the PSA of a ball, drilled or undrilled. The DeTerminator locates the high RG axis, which is the PSA. I put a call into Chuck Gardner, the Brunswick Product Specialist and PBA tour rep. He made the cut in the PBA Senior Tour stop so he hasn't answered me yet. Soon as he does, I'll let you know.Motogp69 wrote: Mo, you never stated if there was anyone in the Orlando, Florida area with a determinator. Is there any other way to find the PSA?
How would you layout the Power Groove?
The Power Groove is asymmetrical, but the PSA is not marked. It's a little tricky to find the PSA, but I'll show you how.

According to Chuck Gardner, there are no DeTerminators in Orlando. The closest is at the Kegel Training Facility. There is, also, one at Brian Brazeau's Pro Shop at AMF Galaxy West in Ocala, Fl. Brian and his step son, Mike, have drilled for WRW, Jr. at that shop. That's what I could find out.

I'm going to try to get out to Kegel, but it won't be for a month or so, and it depends on the finances.Mo Pinel wrote:[/color]
