Layouts for short oil sport shots

Post by ChicoMelo »

My specs are as follows:

Rev Rate = 350-375
Axis Tilt = 7.5
Axis Rotation = 30
PAP = 5 3/4 over and 1/2 up
Speed = Speed dominant.

Generally I do well on these shots playing the twig with a urethane. One thing I do notice is if the backends are not snappy then the urethane comes in a little too late leaving 7 pins on almost every shot. I am looking to drill up a urethane (Storm Natural) and I would like to drill up a reactive ball as well. What layouts should I go with and any recommendation on a reactive ball would be appreciated.

I'll make the assumption that you're right handed. OK?

Ball choice is important here, also. The total diff. of the ball you choose will affect the layout. I'll make two suggestions for MoRich balls.

For MoRich Mojave: 90 / 2 1/4 / 45
For MoRich Solid LevRG: 80 / 2 1/2 / 55
Use P1 holes if necessary.

Sorry Mo, but I am left handed. Do these layouts still apply. Right now I will assume the answer is yes.
