Pin on val layout
I have seen PBA guys using this layout pin up with pin on the val. Anyone know what this layout is and what shape it gives?

Re: Pin on val layout
Video shows 2 layouts the one with the pin on val is 4 x 4 x 0. The 4 x 4 x 0 starts around 57 seconds in.

Re: Pin on val layout
Mr Tang has a Very unique PAP location. It is quite close to his grip with an up co-ordinate, something like over 3" and up 1"
I have tried many different layouts but have yet to try anything like this.
First layout - 4.5x3x2 is close to 60-4-30 dual angles when measured to the thumb
Second layout - 4x4x0 is close to 40-4-0 dual angles when measured back to center of the grip. The pin being so high the PSA will end up between the thumb and fingers
Layout 2 will roll sooner than layout 1.
Layout 2 will play the lane straighter less continuation in the pocket.
Layout 1 will hook more and later on the lane.
Looking at the lines of play, Darren played closer to the gutter with layout 1 playing more boards of hook.
Where layout 2 he played inside of second arrow, more in the oil trying to keep it from rolling too soon on a tighter line to the pocket. When he got one out it didn't come all the way back and left the 5 pin
It appeared that his margin for error was less with the 4x4x0 as compared to Layout 1 by looking at some of the crappy hits. Good editing having the first one and the last one solid strikes and still showing the struggle in between. Would have liked to see layout 1 on the inside line. He did tug one from the outside and it went heavy but would have like to see what layout 1 did starting on the inside.
