It is all dependent on the surface prep and actual lane condition. The most dull one will be the earliest.
With Symmetrical balls you don't get the option of the core starting it up any earlier with layouts.

Re: Low Tilt Layouts
Will there be a considerable difference between a Pin in the Ring Layout a Low Flare 5 1/2 inch Layout and a 1 1/2 to 2 inch Layout on.a Symetrical ball like a Phaze 2 or IQ Tour on a shorter pattern considering my specs ?

Re: Low Tilt Layouts
Long pin to PAP Symmetrical is a longer slower hook. Short Pin to PAP is more skid snap.
I've tried the Short Pin to PAP Symmetrical. The only time I achieved good carry percentage was rolling it with very low rotation. Playing very straight.
You will not like the carry percentage of a short pin to PAP Symmetrical. It loses tilt too fast.
With your high rotation the ball will still be trying to hook as it hits the pocket.

Re: Low Tilt Layouts
Just a question...my PSO told me that for me as I move inside of 3rd arrow that 4.5 to 5 inch pins may be better on asymmetric as they would be cleaner and not to angular to the pocket...do you agree...4.5 to 5 inch symmetric seem good from there...should I just plug a.ball and try?

Re: Low Tilt Layouts
Your PSO is suggesting you use one of the sport layouts I gave you. Try the Med Sport layout.
