Layout for a rubber 12lb bowling ball

I just ordered on ebay a 12 lb 6 oz 1.1 oz top weight 1987 new in box Brunswick custom LTD rubber bowling ball. Three years ago I used my Petraglia 14 lb ball at the ABT for dry lanes and short sport shots and did well with it. I will be 79 next month and I bought this as a present for my self. My specs are in my signature. I would like to get as much side weight as possible and will a dual angle layout work with a pancake weight block rubber ball. Some of you might consider me crazy but I believe rubber balls on certain conditions work well. Hopefully somebody can help but if not, nothing ventured nothing gained. Thanks in advance for any help.

Position the Cg 45* and 4" from your PAP
No need to use the balance hole.

This is not in line with what you were thinking with maximum side weight But it creates the maximum amount of dynamics.

Eric,

First thank you as always for your help. I read the wiki article and instructions for the plastic ball layout. I agree with your layout and I have rarely used balance holes. and won't. One last question what is your opinion of sanding rubber balls to effect length and reaction of the shot.? Thanks again.

I used this layout on an undrilled 16 pound AMF Angle plus I picked up in the fall. I am very happy with the result. 8-)

Sanding rubber will be a stinky mess if using a spinner. I have not tried myself to resurface a rubber ball but am basing my response on what I have heard.
The same theory as modern balls should hold true with rubber. Rougher surface will allow more traction, smoother surface for more skid.

The factory surface was polished. I suspect you will want to keep it polished and use in on higher friction conditions.

Eric,
Thanks again and I agree that keeping it polished will better serve me on certain ABT shots, I bowl in a senior house shot league and I'm going to see if I can use it outside of 5 and straight up the boards as it is completely dry out there and even plastic and urethane hook too much with my lack of speed.
