Asymmetric Ball Question

Post by bowlingforsoup »

This may be a dumb question.I am wondering about the layout Mo talks about in his new video.Stating that MB in thumbhole makes the ball more symmetrical and basically a stronger symmetrical ball.
Ok here's my question.Does it make any difference if the MB falls above the thumb or below.Say with my span if I drill thumb in MB my val is 25 to 30 range. So to get 40 to 45 it will be above the MB.As long as its inline does it really matter.

Putting the Mass bias in the thumb hole is the way to get an Asym most like a Symmetrical drilling.
It will not be exactly like a Symm though. It will have a sharper breakpoint.

Drilling the thumb hole deeper will make a Symmetrical more like an Asym.

Depending on the Mass bias strength Int. Diff. the drilled thumb hole will pull the PSA towards the thumb on weaker Asyms, less than .015.
Stronger mass Bias will not be influenced by the thumb as much or if at all.

When holes are drilled into a ball, generally speaking, the low Rg axis represented by the pin will move away from drilled holes.
The PSA will move towards drilled holes.
