I'm bored, so let's play a game. Layout that ball.

Which layout is right for me?

I got this Dynothane Spark for next to nothing off eBay a couple of months ago. It's just sitting on the wall. I could probably go sell it for $50-60 bucks, but where's the fun in that.

Ball specs - hybrid cover (poured by EBI)
RG - 2.55
Diff 0.42
3" pin

My current specs
RPM - 375-400
Speed - 17-18
Axis rotation - 55
Axis tilt - 7

Given the ball specs, I lean toward drilling it for max length. The one thing I don't want to do it drill it close to the other stuff I've got with similar specs

Here's what I've got in the mid-range symmetrical group
EBI GB2 MVP - 60 x 4 1/2 x 40
Intel - 80 x 4 x 50
Magnitude 035 solid - 80 x 4 x 50
Turmoil Solid - 70 x 4 1/2 x 70
Ridiculous Pearl (orig) - 50 x 3 1/2 x 50

With the 3" pin, I've got a ton of flexibility. I can go with a really short (1 1/2) or long pin (5 1/2) to PAP. I also have to option of a taller pin, but I tend to not like the look I get out of balls with sub-40 VAL angles.

As far as what I'm looking for, something different than what I've got. Either something very smooth or very long.

Think about it and throw out some ideas with the justification. I'll see what you come up with.

Right now, I'm leaning towards something like a 90 x 1 1/2 x 60. Low flare, length, and controlled backend for something like USBC singles last year.

I suggest drilling the thumb hole 6" deep to make it as Asymmetrical as possible after drilling.

Short pin to PAP on Symmetricals lose tilt really fast, carry will be an issue.

My idea would be 70-3-30 with the thumb hole drilled really deep (6") for something different from what you already have.

Right Handed
PAP 4.75" up 1/2"
45* rotation
12* tilt
330 rev rate
16 mph off hand

Update - I was bored and went with a 2 x 50 on the Spark (symmetrical) just to see.

You were right, it revs up and and rolls. Will be great for short patterns or really wet/dry front to back. Great ball to keep in front of you and control the pocket, but that's about it.
