Eric,

I always follow along when you do a recommendation to see if I "get it".

I get the 100-degree sweet-spot from his speed and rev rate.

I believe the angle ratio of 1:1 is chosen (because of his high A/T and A/R) to get the ball to reach 1st transition sooner as well as eliminate any jumpy back-end reactions.

The "longer" ASYM P2P distance is to help burn off A/R and A/T quicker (because he is a Tweener)?

Inquiring minds want to know! (LOL)

The Ratio is take from the Dual Angle Ratio Guide mainly based on his tilt.
Yes to your description about getting the ball started sooner and have a smoother hook.

Again the tilt is the major component in choosing the Pin to PAP distance. Longer pin to PAP's for higher tilt bowlers.

Hey Eric, wonder if you could recommend another layout for my above friend.
He bought a "Hyper cell fuse" and was thinking about something with a little more control and a little earlier than his hy-road pearl, which by the way turned out to me an awesome ball for him with the layout you recommended. Any other suggestions appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Did he not get the Code X that was in my original recommendation?
If not, I would suggest that same layout for the Hyper cell fuse ......... 50-4.5-70
Use surface adjustment to tune in the skid length. Keeping the factory shine on it will make the skid length very similar to the hy-road pearl

No Eric, he changed his mind on the Code X and just went with the Hy-Road pearl. I wasn't sure about using the control layout you recommended for the X being that it is a solid and the Fuse is hybred. He doesn't like to mess with surface change, though i'll give him your recommendation. Seems like everything i've read on the fuse is that it tends to roll early but gets thru the heads easy.

Thanks

Hmmmm gets through the heads easily, in other words it skids easily due to its polished surface. Thus my recommendation to use surface or else he will have a similar skid length to the Hy-Road Pearl. Another ball that gets through the heads easily.

It just doesn't make sense to me to have a bunch of balls that are very similar or have a 2 ball set with the same exact surface prep on both balls. smh
