How to drill asymmetric so it becomes (almost) symmetric

Post by Jochemke »

Hello all,

I have been wondering if it is possible to achieve a symmetric-like bowling ball and ball motion by changing the angles of your layout.

I have seen a video about the Track Alias where they accomplished it. Now my question is, is it possible to achieve this on any bowling asymmetric bowling ball? If so how would you do this or what is the best option for this?

Thanks in advance

I think a low flare layout might be what you’re looking for.

It depends upon your release specs, but typically its short pin to pap distances with larger angle totals.

The Track Alias Symmetric layout basically takes the core out of the ball motion. Making the ball motion all about the coverstock.
Yes, you can drill any asymmetrical like that and kill the core.
My question is why would you spend the extra money for an Asym then drill it to kill it like that?

As mentioned above, there are other options.

To give you actual layout information your release specs are needed.
