Post by Mbrobst14 »

Hello,

I'm newer to the page and been trying to learn as much as possible. Was hoping to get some help with some layout advice. Thanks for the help!

Right handed (2 hander)
16.5-17.5 at the monitor
450-500
PAP- 5 5/8> 3/16 down
Initial Axis Rotation- 50*
Axis Tilt- 10*
What surface you want the ball for- wood
What lane condition you are bowling on most of the time - House shot

Are you measuring your PAP from the center of the Bridge?

Sweetspot 110* 2.25:1 Ratio
Asymmetrical Layouts ...
Totally Strong .................. 65-4-25
Midlane .......................... 55-3.75-35
Benchmark ..................... 75-3.5-35
Long and Strong ............. 90-3-35
Control .......................... 85-3-45
low flare ........................ 90-2-35

Symmetrical layouts ...
Benchmark ................. xx-4.5-30
Control ...................... xx-4.5-50
low flare .................... xx-5.25- 30

If you are bowling on Wood I would recommend the low flare, Control or Long and Strong layouts.
What ball are you looking to get?

Right Handed
PAP 4.75" up 1/2"
45* rotation
12* tilt
330 rev rate
16 mph off hand

Yes, from the center of the bridge. I'm currently looking at the Hyroad X, Idol maybe even an intense fire. With my higher rev rate my eyes tend to like he hard arc shape or slower to see friction balls.

Currently have the Soniq Code Red and Turmoil Solid.

Thank you so much for the input, I'll be attending a storm demo here wednesday so hoping to narrow it down to 1 of those 3. (don't think I can convince the wife otherwise lol).

Well got the Idol punched up today with the layout you recommended, went 279,249,269 wow is all I can say. Layout gave me exactly what I was looking for on that ball been a huge fan of nano since the virtual gravity nano and this one didn't let me down either. Thanks Eric for the advice glad I found this forum.
