When drilling an asymmetric ball (and given USBC's new rules doing away with balance holes), which will give the greatest intermediate differential:
1) Placing the PSA on the "double thumb" position.
2) Drilling the thumb hole directly through the PSA.

drilling the thumbole right into the PSA will create the most assymetry.
