I can't find the thread as well but I knew I have it written in one of my notes and found it 70 x 3 x30 for Asymmetrics
Thanks for that, I've got an asymm ball to drill so will give it a go.

Will the balance hole rule effect balls that were drilled with a balance hole prior to the rule going into effect?

Yes, according to the rules all balance holes will have to be plugged by August, 2020 (think that's right) for the ball to be legal. -- JohnP

That is a bummer. Most of my bowling balls have balance holes in them. Even the 30 year old ones I have. I guess I will not be joining any USBC leagues any time soon.

Why not? I'm going to drill up a couple new orbs this summer without balance holes and see if it is really me or the lane conditions next season that determine if the USBC is right or not. Let's throw it back in their face if they are wrong.

I wonder if this, and future rule changes might come back to bite the USBC if more and more leagues decide to drop their sanction. After all, unless one is planning on bowling Nationals, just what advantage is it sanctioning? This summer I'm bowling in a league that's doing different Kegel Challenge shots, and we decided the first week not to sanction. The big advantage is it kept the cost down.
