Layouts for 3 radical balls

Post by river800 »

Hi everyone,

Been a bit since I have posted but have a couple of things to figure out. First off, I currently have 2 balls drilled for sport conditions, 1 for the shorter length (black guru) and one for the medium length patterns (black guru) at the moment. I have a few other balls for transition on the shorter and medium patterns, the question now is the long sport stuff 43 ft +.

I am well aware of the article in the wiki here, but would like to see a little more of Mo's ideas on longer sport pattern layouts.

I have 3 balls I can use for the longer sport: 15 lbs NIB

1. Cash 4.5" pin to cg, cg 1.5" left...3.1 oz top
2. Guru supreme 3 7/8" pin to cg, cg 1 3/4" left...3.1 oz top
3. Guru mighty 3" pin to cg, cg 1 3/8" ~ left...3.1 oz top

My current ideas for these are:

Sharper breakpoint
Supreme 45 x 3 3/4 x 25 p3.5

Midlane
Cash 35 x 4 1/2 x 40 p3/3.5

Not sure on the guru mighty though.... might just drill this up for a benchmark for a THS or long n strong motion.

I love surface and will use it so that is not a problem.
Stats:
Right handed
Pap is 4 3/4 x 3/8 up currently
Speed around 16.5 off hand
Tilt in the 14-16* range
Rev rate: around 325 - 350 or so
Axis rotation in the 25-70* range
I bowl on Brunswick synthetics. Ths...

For the long sport 44 ft +? With the long pin on the cash and where a weight hole would land up, I would flare over it. I love the motion you get from your more cash with the 60 x 3 x 70 though so I am interested.

I have the one black guru that I had set up for the short sport I would be willing to do the 60 x 3 x 70 on it. The short pin to cg length would be more conducive.

It may not be long until you wont need the balance hole.
Personally, im on hold drilling anything until USBC makes some sort of announcement as promised.

Thanks for your input Eric. With everything I have learned, I have a long way to go.. lol

What about using the supreme for the long sport fresh, to hook then stop and the cash for simply giving me over all more hook? Then I'll have my black guru with the 60 x 3 x 70 for more control?

Maybe supreme 35 x 4 3/4 x 35?
Cash 40 x 4 1/4 x 40?
