I have tried many layouts and surfaces with some good results. However, since switching to 14# results are really not that good. Should I go back to 15# what do people think about the percentages. I have many league sessions where I never miss the pocket but carry is awful.

Motion Hole will improve carry. Try it!
I recommend a Radical Cyclops.

I have tried a couple of motion holes actually. I am wondering if 14# is just overall to light. Have any studies been done?

I dont think its too light unless you're consistently taking a poor angle to the pocket.

What ball and layout are you using?

With the low volume wet dry the Radical at 110x1.25x60 which gets me to the pocket may be the problem. Would you guys agree. Everything else tends to hook set to much so it seems. I am taking 3 months off for a second hip surgery and my mind is going crazy.

When I get back in April I am open to any and all suggestions with no leagues until summer so practice is all I will have going.

What can I do as I am very frustrated?

Thinking about working on deep inside with my strong Master.....Help!!!!!

You could try reducing the axis rotation a bit to around 45-60 and see if it helps.

What Radical ball are you referencing? Does it have a balance hole?

If it was an Asymmetrical you killed its ability to get into a roll with the 1.25" pin to PAP. Dull surface and a flare increasing balance hole would help.

If it is Symmetrical plug and re-drill. The short Pin to PAP on Symmetricals just lose tilt way too soon.

Either way you used a Pin to PAP too short for good carry.

It is the Master asymm solid and I have done several surface tests. The low volume wet/dry condition our area uses and think is conducive to high scores is terrible.

As an example a heretofore high scoring house league with the areas best bowlers has bowled 21 weeks with zero 300 games. If you try to reason that a blended condition would be better for all players you are labeled a complainer. In todays day no 300's is a total joke. A wet/dry condition may help a couple of certain styles. but not the majority of players.

So I have migrated to a layout that at least keeps me out of trouble, but I have come to the conclusion that overall it is not working. So after six decades of bowling I am close to giving it up. The condition has virtually been adopted by all 4 houses in our association.

I could just bowl sport shot tournaments only in a state 2 hours away that have average ceilings but I need to establish an average and local leagues are not fun at all.

I suppose I could try a gradient line p3 or p3.5 if that is the way to go.

You had the right idea just took it a little too far with both the extra large drilling angle and the 1.25" Pin to PAP.

I would definitely try a balance hole to get more flare as well as a dull surface. The best you can do on the gradient line is probably a P2.5, I suggest the double thumb hole.
Otherwise plug and re-drill it 90-2.25-45 P2

The thumb hole is located about P3.5 on the gradient line.
