Is their a ideal top wght & pin length for ASYM & SYM balls,(prior to drilling) if your drilling,Pin up or Pin down?
I see in the manufactures drillings that it looks like a long pin for PINUP & a short Pin for PINDOWN, so is this the norm?
Thanks for help.

Re: ?
2 1/2 - 3 oz top weight and 3 - 3 1/2" pin out is fairly flexible. Some layouts require special specs, usually listed in the layout. Yes, generally, low pin layouts work better with shorter pin outs and high pin layouts work better with longer pin outs. If the customer doesn't mind having a balance hole the specs aren't as important. -- JohnP

Generally speaking yes pin up longer pin to Cg, pin down shorter pin to Cg. This makes managing the static weights easier. But...
I just got a ball drilled drilled that had a 4" pin to Cg with a pin down layout. It only had 1.75 oz top weight and I wanted a balance hole 2" below my midline on the VAL so it worked out great for a 1"x3" hole to pull the PSA away from the thumb.
Pin to Cg distance depends on what you are planning to do with the drilling and what kind of balance hole options you want to have or not.
