I am going to be punching up some new equipment and wanted to see if I could get some recommendations..

My Spec
PAP: 4 1/4" right 3/8" up
Speed: 15.5 mph on monitors
I recall from ebi bowler ID a while back:
17.5mph
335 Rev
12 Degree tilt
Cannont remember rotation maybe 50 or 60 degree

Planning on using mostly in tournaments and sport patterns.
Building around:
Edge Solid (Really like the shape of this ball)
45 x 4 3/16" x 65

New Equipment:(I will be adding more to arsenal but these are what I'm starting with)
Tremendous: 2-3" Pin, 4.1 oz top
Creed: 3-4" Pin, 3.4 oz top
Inferno: 2-3" Pin, 2.3 oz top

Looking forward to some suggestions and options.

is there a balance hole in the Edge?

1.75: Ratio 95* Total, Asymmetrical Benchmark 60-4-35

Asymmetrical
Totally Strong ...........50-4.5-25
Midlane ....................40-4.5-35
Benchmark .............. 60-4-35
Long and Strong ........80-4-35
Control ....................60-3-55
low flare ..................80-2.25-35

Symmetrical
Totally Strong ...........Double Thumb
Midlane ....................40-4-30 balance hole 1.5" below midline on the VAL
Benchmark .............. 65-4-30
Long and Strong ........75-4-30 MoHole
Control ....................65-4.5-50
low flare ..................65-5-30

Tremendous: 2-3" Pin, 4.1 oz top ....... I had a ball with 4.1 oz top weight before. It is easy to get too much weight outside of the grip.
What is the exact pin to Cg distance?

Creed: 3-4" Pin, 3.4 oz top, Benchmark ..... 60-4-35

Inferno: 2-3" Pin, 2.3 oz top, low flare ....... 65-5-30

Yes, there is a balance hole in the Edge.

Tremendous: Pin to cg is 2 1/4"
because of the higher top weight is there a layout I should consider to take advantage of the spec.

Thanks

I think it is a bit more of how do you make it legal and give you something in your usable range.

55-5-55 pin in the Middle finger, no balance hole required to keep legal.
This is a forward rolling Control layout.

65-4-50 P2 if needed, pin in the Ring finger, Control layout. The 4" pin to PAP will make it a little stronger than what I suggested in the Basic Arsenal.

Eric thanks for the suggestions.

On the Asymetric layouts what is the real difference between the total hook and midlane? Just sharpness of the total hook on back end?

Also, i'm curious why you suggested a low flare for the inferno? what type of pattern do you envision that being used on. I have a Brute with a pin axis layout on that I pull out occasionally. Would this be similar?

The low flare is a very usable ball for many types of conditions. Use it dull for fresh conditions or shine it and use it on broken down conditions.

The pin axis is a low Rg drilling where the long pin to PAP on the low flare is a high Rg drilling. The low flare will have a longer hook zone covering more boards and roll later.
