Radical Rediculous Layout Request

Post by stansadude »

Speed = 13.5 on Qubica
Rev Rate = 230
Initial Axis Rotation = 70
Initial Axis Tilt = 7

Hi, again

When I learned the Radical Ridiculous was becoming discontinued, I ordered it and one is on the way with 3-4 inch pin and 2.8 oz top wt.

Pls advise a THS layout for the Ridiculous

Much thanks,

Stan

I'd recommend waiting on Eric or one of the more knowledgeable guys but I came up with 60 x 4.5 x 25 as a benchmark layout.

Asymmetrical Benchmark 105* total 2:1 Ratio 70-3.5-35
Symmetrical Benchmark 75-4.25-25

Here are 3 options for you depending on how you want it to fit in with what you already have...

Symmetrical Control Pin in the ring finger ~75-4.25-45
Numbers may change slightly based on PAP and grip span.

Symmetrical Long and Strong...... Motion Hole Layout Pin location based on PAP

Low Flare ........ 75-5-40

PAP 4.75" up 1/2"

12* tilt

The layouts I provided will work fine with your PAP.
The Motion Hole Layout for Long and Strong will be Pin above the ring finger.
Personally I like the idea of the Control Layout Pin in the Ring finger.

What are you using now for your THS shot?

PAP 4.75" up 1/2"

Again, much thanks for your advice

You ask what I am now using for THS

First choice is my Guru Mighty which I try to keep close to box finish. As I transition in, I usually go to my Grease Monkey Whack

I enjoy success with my Xeno but usually only when the condition is a little flatter. At times this ball can exhibit some over/under. As a result I try to keep some surface on it.

My Guru Limited at several different surface combinations has been a challenge on THS. This ball is most effective for me on flat patterns.

My Grease Monkey POW at several different surface combinations is only effective for me when I can play out. If I move inside of ten my carry suffers with flat corners.

Thanks for your interest

Regards,

Stan

Eric,

In response, my current Radical asrenal includes:

Guru Mighty 65-2.5-35
Grease Monkey POW xx-4-25 CG close to grip center
Grease Monkey Whack xx-4.5-35
XENO 50-4-30
Guru Limited 65-3.5-35

Yeah, your arsenal is definitely missing a control piece.
Hopefully it comes in with a pin closer to 3" than 4", it will make managing the statics easier.
