Sorry, guy, but I'm not following you.elgavachon wrote:You guys saw the hypothetical bowler had different specs than Wpzone? I was hoping to have speed/rev matched. I thought Wpzsone was rev dominant. That is why I lowered the revs for the generic benchmark. I was confirming (to myself) the 1.75:1 in post #5 and I was after one less variable.

Ah, I missed that.
The hypothetical specs that elgavachon was asking about are:
5* tilt
55* rotation
18.5 hand
375 revs
My specs that I was looking for firm baseline numbers are:
5* tilt
55* rotation
18.5 hand
400 revs

It still answers my question. Would you still want the 3 1/4 pin for symmetrical Mo?

Re: Ball and layout advice for extreme wet/dry
One last question. From what I gather in this post (and a couple others) are these the correct baseline numbers for my specs?
•Angles: 95* + - 20*
•Ratio’s: 2.25 - 1.25:1 (1.75:1 benchmark)
•Asym pins: 1 3/4" - 3 1/4"
•Sym pins: 3 1/2" - 5 1/2"
•Hand – Right
•Speed - 16.5mph on monitor
•Rev Rate – 400
•Initial Axis Rotation - 55*
•Initial Axis Tilt - 5*
•Surface – synthetic
•Pattern - extreme wet/dry, 38ft
•PAP - 5 3/4> 3/4^
•Angles: 95* + - 20*

Excellent, thanks again!
Re: Ball and layout advice for extreme wet/dry
Update:
I redrilled the following:
Jacked - 80x4.5x55 P2
Pure Swing - 75x2.25x60 P2
Backlash - 45x4x35 P2
The Jacked has been too strong on the patterns Ive used it on so far but Im going to change the surface this week so I can play with it.
Pure Swing - Threw it the same I drilled it on the USBC Blue and shot 740ish. Read the midlane great and very predictable on the back. First night on the wet/dry pattern I shoot 250, 260, then loose carry in the 3rd game as I started moving deeper. Changed to the Backlash in the 4th frame moving back to the original line I started the Pure Swing with. Go wrap 10, then solid 9, 4 bagger and fill the 10th for 220ish.
Overall I am very happy with the layouts as these are reactions I have not previously seen in any of my equipment. They are proving to be very forgiving on balls that I couldnt really use before. I have two more I am plugging right now, Mutant 55x3.5x25 P3 and a HyRoad 75x4.5x25 P1. I am looking forward to trying these out and probably several more in the near future.
Thanks everyone.
