Drilling Suggestion for medium tracker

Post by AliasPogi »

Hi Mo,

If I'm building an arsenal for dry, medium and oily lane conditions,
what dual angle drilling would you suggest for a medium tracker like me.
Below is my specs:

PAP = 4 15/16 over and 1/8 up
16.5 mph at the deck
revs around 350

Thank you in advance. :mrgreen:

p.s. my driller tells me that my tilt is 45* as when we were looking for my PAP,
the small piece of tape was steady at 45* in the x-y plane.

I will need your axis rotation and tilt to be accurate.

Hi Mo,

PAP = 4 15/16 over and 1/8 up
16.5 mph at the deck
17-17.5 plastic ball
revs around 350
Axis tilt = 17*
Axis rotation = 45*

Your drilling input would be greatly appreciated for the lane conditions:

dry
medium
oily

Thank you in advance.

Oily: 40/ 4 1/2 / 35 with a P3 or P4 hole (asymmetrical)
40 / 3 3/8 /35 with a P4 hole (symmetrical)

Medium: 50/ 4 / 40 with a P2 or P3 hole (asymmetrical)
50/ 4 1/2 / 40 with a P3 hole (symmetrical)

Dry: 65 / 2 1/2 / 50 no hole or P! (asymmetrical)
65 / 5 / 50 no hole or P1 (symmetrical)

Hi Mo,

I just finished bowling in one of the hardest lanes in recent memory.
It was on a torched wood lanes.

I used a highly polished Lane #1 Chainsaw
RG Diff: 0.013
RG Min: 2.530
RG Max: 2.543

I had this ball drilled weak - Pin over bridge and CG kicked out at about 45* which is
20* x 5.5" x 54* in dual angle layout. X-hole in PAP.

I polished this ball using Lane #1's Secret Sauce top a mirror shine to go longer down the lane.

The problem is with this extreme lane condition.
I was standing at the left-most stance and hitting 18 boards trying to get it out to 10-12 but I can't seem to keep this ball in the pocket.

I am thinking of getting a Urethane ball drilled just for this condition - a Seismic Desperado.
How would you suggest I drill this?

Me:
PAP = 4 15/16 over and 1/8 up
16.5 mph at the deck
17-17.5 plastic ball
revs around 350
Axis tilt = 17*
Axis rotation = 45*

Thanks again in advance.
