Leftie Ultra Zone Benchmark Layout

Post by robert »

Good evening,

As per post viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I would like to request a layout for the bowler in the video.

Stats:
Left Handed
Speed: approx 18mph
RPM : Currently low 300s currently, have measured as high as 375 in the past.
Speed / revs pretty balanced.
Axis tilt (using overlay) 7-8 degrees.
Axis rotation (using overlay) 50 degrees.

Ball:
Brunswick Ultra Zone 14lb
Stats from enclosed sheet
minRG 2.503
intRG 2.527
maxRG 2.547
RG diff 0.044
RG asy 0.020
Cover: EnMotion Solid/Pearl Hybrid
Finish: rough buff
Hardness 76-78

What he wants is a benchmark ball, something that will work on all average conditions.
Synthetic lanes only.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

EDIT: I forgot to mention:
Pin - CG is 4-5.5 in (in line)
Topweight 2.8 oz
Also, although the ball is not marked as a 2nd, there seems to be a slight crack at the pin (the white has leaked into the crack) so it would be best to either drill away the pin, or leave a long distance to any hole.
In the meantime I wll email brunswick with a photo of the pin blemish.

Don't worry about the crack. Super glue will work, if necessary. The Ultra Zone's cover is no where near as strong as the current strong Brunswick covers so we'll cut the sum of the angles some. My recommendation is 50 / 3 1/2 / 30 with a P3 hole. Start with 2000 surface and reduce it if it starts up to soon. Work on my recommendations on the other thread.

Many Thanks Mo,
I will measure his track to verify the tilt first, as it seems very low and I don't trust the overlay that much.

I will follow up with a video when we have drilled the ball and put some work into the hinge and knee bend

Thanks for everything.
