205 avg Welcome to BowlingChat Your Initial track hits the ring finger, is this correct? I assume you looking for a layout that doesn't track back over your gripping holes. Do you have any video you can post to youtube for us to view?

Yes, Yes, Yes I have been a student of this site for the last 6 months, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPW4wHrMBdMI was fortunate enough to have my bowler ID done a week ago and have been on a mission ever since to make sense of what I've got. With the help of my coach Ive been really cutting down my loft and trying to get a much smoother release angle onto the lane... I think it has improved but the negative tilt is still there...at this point I don't know if I need to continue working on my form to specifically remove it or try and find a layout that works.

From our chat via IM your initial track starts on your bridge. This is not going to do the ball any good rolling over the bridge or possibly landing on it from a cracking standpoint. You are very new to the game. Keep working with your coach on your release to remove the negative tilt. Finding a more effective release will benefit your game in many ways. Layouts at this point are not going to be effective at getting your initial track off your fingers. Your form and release will be able to improve this. Overrolled full roller Layouts would be the option if your tilt becomes more negative and your initial track starts completely on the right side of your grip. Then we could get it to flare the opposite way and stay off your fingers. You are very early in your bowling career and are taking the right steps to become a better bowler. Keep up the good work and you will enjoy the benefits as your bowling career progresses.

Thanks Eric for the advice, I've been following it =) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gZK4-uVtS4I've gotten to where I consistently track just outside my middle finger, down through where the thumb hole would be...this is with normal pin up layouts. Am I correct that this is more in line with a traditional 'full roller'? ps: Thank you guys!

There is definite improvement in your form. Your release looks much more powerful with your release lower to the ground. The ball reaction down lane looks better too. Keep up the good work.
