Where is the CG on a Columbia Benchmark?

Post by BenLeong »

I'm sure this is a pretty easy question, but I just want to be sure. I just picked up a new Columbia Benchmark and I'm trying to plan out a layout before I have it drilled. Is the CG marking the small yellow dot underneath the word "Columbia?" It's so tiny, I can't tell if it's an out-of-box blemish or not. If not, where is the CG?

Yep. It's somewhere near the center of that logo, if it's correctly marked.

Thanks. It looks exactly like the small dot for the "i" in Columbia, so it was difficult to distinguish.

An undrilled symmetrical doesn't spin up on a deTerminator. You can use a dodo scale to find the CG on any symmetrical or asymmetrical, pre- or post-drilling.

I haven't drilled a Benchmark, but the cg on Columbia balls is usually marked by a small engraving that looks like a hand and has a small dot in it. -- JohnP

You can find the cg on a kaufman scale with a little effort.
