Did anyone notice Tom Smallwood’s and Ryan Ciminelli’s fingers during the broadcast of the USA vs the World? What did they have on them? It wasn’t finger tap.

Do you mean the thingie on their index fingers?
If I remember correctly Tom Smallwood is using one of those.

It helps people who spread the index finger improve their grip on said finger.
If you have very inflexible finger tendons and spread the index finger, it kind of wants to return to it's position near the middle finger. Those grip thingies help the index finger stay spread away a little easier, because it sticks to the ball. You can get more axis rotation that way (or less if you use it on the pinky)
