Which Radical balls do you plan on having in your fall bag this year?
This year more than in any year's past I see a reaction for every bowler type out there.

Right now out of the balls on the list you posted, I only have the Cash, the Fix, and the Ricidulous Pearl.

I have the Tremendous and Xeno Pearl from your post and still have my original Ridiculous as well. The Cash I have is restricted to sport shots.

I do not have any Radical equipment yet, but would not mind trying some. I only can bowl on the 40' THS since no centers in my area have sport leagues. I like to play as straight as I can, but given that the THS tends to be a wet/dry pattern I must play the big hook to reduce the over/under effect of the pattern. Given my stats what would you Radical experts suggest?

Rev dominant due to speed, I'd recommend the Cyclops with a little bit of surface @ 2000.
60 x 5 x 60, should put the pin in the ring finger. Adjust angles as necessary to get it there.
This will allow you to play soft.
PAP might be touchy with track flare safeness, if thats an issue in the past with similar layouts, let me know I'll adjust it.

New equipment? I'm still using my Jackpot (pearl), Primo (pearl) and Guru Master for most conditions. Three very reliable pieces across a wide range of conditions.

Primo Solid comes out occasionally, as well as Guru Mighty, depending on what I'm rolling on. Rack Attack Solid (motion hole) and I have an undrilled RA Pearl sitting on the bench.

I never warmed up to the Jackpot Solid or the only Fix I drilled. Would like to revisit those layouts at some point. Cash, Xeno, Ridiculous are all very intriguing but I honestly can't begin to keep up with the new releases and I bowl a LOT!

My low volume summer THS requires something like a Brunswick Exile or Hyper Cell Skid. I'm guessing the Ridiculous (or Xeno) Pearl might be a nice Radical replacement for those pieces.

that Cyclops and Cash look like two versions of the original Guru Master cover. is that true? I thought the original GuruM was one of the best balls I've thrown.

I'll get a cash if thats the case.

Go Radical! Managed a personal best last night with my Primo pearl. Slow and steady for a sanctioned 801 (290, 264, 247). Two taps in the last game (a 7 & 9) or might have been +32 (lol). Wish I could duplicate that ball reaction and consistency more often...

Steve,

What layout is your Guru Master? I got 1 new one and still wondering how to use it.There's seldom any sport pattern events in the house I play. 1 of the houses has 38-feet THS pattern on AMF lanes will very dry outside boards and most bowlers will stay on 4-6 board all night in leage. The other has Kegel Stone Street on Brunswick lanes, carry down is common in 2nd game and then burn up quickly in the 3rd game.

I have Code Platinum and Code Green with 40-4-50 layout. Both give me a very high pocket percentage in both centres but the carry percentage is not so good on Brunswick lanes.

My Master is 35x5x30 (no balance), really intended for longer sport patterns, but I find it incredibly versatile across a wide range of conditions and angles. I tweak the surface to suit, but definitely like to keep it dull.

A "go to" ball when a shot gets funky (definitely smooths out transition and over/under). Can get quite deep with it, or stay right and go up the back. Sport shots, house shots, etc. It always gets into a strong roll and the carry is amazing.

Obviously, with surface this is not a great choice on lower volume shots. I typically won't use it on my 38' THS but it's great on the longer patterns like Stone Street, High Street, etc.

I'd love to try a Cash, etc, but I've still got another NIB 15 lb Master on the shelf...

isn't the Tremendous a re-marketed Guru Master? I have on that was a botched double thumb layout that I tweaked until it was legal. I couldn't tell you what the specs are on the ball bcause of the crazy way it came to be.

I'd like to get the Tremendous or a GuruMaster and tru a different layout on it.

I'm pretty sure the Tremendous is based on the original black Guru. Radical website says same cover/core, but Phil mentioned in a video that the cover was enhanced for durability and to avoid shining so quickly. I could be mistaken, but I believe that's what he said.

"For the Tremendous, we have recreated the highly successful core/cover combination from the original Guru. Bowlers will have the opportunity to get proven Top Shelf performance at a more affordable price. Of course, the Guru-lovers should quickly appreciate the black cover and orange logo, and we expect to attract a few new customers who want to try our former top-seller."

I am getting a Tremendous drilled up tomorrow.
Going with a midlane layout 45-4.5-35 P3 for longer patterns.

This will be my first non-Hammer ball in over 12 years when Brunswick announced shutting down their manufacturing facility in my hometown.

I am a fan of dull surface preps and have been struggling to keep up with the maintenance of keeping them dull. Hearing that the Tremendous is supposed to be more durable and avoiding the lane shine was a major factor in my decision.

I have my totals at 125 on that ball at 50 x 4 3/4 x 75 and the ball hooks a TON. Just FYI.

I am looking to make this a condition specific type ball. 43'+

I also expect the PSA to be pulled close to the thumb. The int diff is only .011 at 13# thus the planned P3.

Did you leave it at factory surface?
