Asymmetrical Balls

Post by jdrsuper »

Guys,

Does any ball company make 13 LB asymmetrical balls. I ask this question because i bought a Track Legion 13 LB and no where on the website did it say that the 13 LB wasn't asymmetrical. I couldn't find the MB mark and when I called them was told that 13 LB balls were symmetrical. I know that once it's drilled it will be asymmetrical but that's not why I bought the ball.

Brunswick/Radical/DV8 has 12 and 13-lb asyms

All lightweight asyms from these companies likely have the same core, which will NOT be the same core as the 14-16 lb balls. A generic lightbulb shape, based on images from Brunswick. You will still get the same coverstock.

Core numbers for 13-lb Mastermind Einstein/Ridiculous Asym/DV8 Grudge:
Low RG - 2.589
Diff - 0.043
Int Diff - 0.011
Right Handed
Speed: 18 mph (foul line)
Rev Rate: ~350 rpm
Tilt: 10*
Rotation: 55*
PAP: 5 1/8" right, 1/2" up

Thanks for the information Darkhorse, I'll check them out and see which one based on coverstock and a P4 hole if possible, will give me my best look on longer sport shots.

I think Motiv use to use the same core in 13 as in there heavier equipment but not 100% sure.

Motiv currently has zero asymmetrics on their website after the Jackal debacle.

Historically, Motiv has provided asymmetric cores for all weights provided. At times they went down to 12 pounds and other times they went to 14. For example, the Raptor Talon stats were:

Weight - 13 pounds
RG Rating - 2.52
RG DIfferential - 0.51
MB Differential - 0.013
