My fitting measured by proshop is
thumb all 0
mf span 4 3/8 3/8 left, 3/16 rev
rf span 4 3/8 3/8 right, 5/16 rev
Would like to do a wiki fit. Lots of reference here: http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index. ... on#Fitting" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Should I start with Morich Fitting Instructions to get my span, then thumb pitch, then Lateral Finger Pitch Fan?
Where to start wiki fit?

Re: Where to start wiki fit?
Hello, did mine recently with Mo's help on this forum so I will try and help you with it, most comfortable grip i have ever had.
First, draw a line exactly at the midpoint of the creases in both fingers, this is very important as many pro shops just measure so the first crease is at the middle of the hole and that would be too long.
if you have access to an innovative fitting ball measure span with that as span measuring wheels can be inaccurate...
Adjust spans for finger flexibility
See Wiki Fit guide: http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/images ... itting.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then, use the instructions on the Wiki for the fan chart...
http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index. ... structions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Determine thumb flexibility (See Wiki fit PDF, first link provided in this post)
With your adjusted spans you can determine thumb linear pitch using the following chart:
http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index. ... itch_Chart" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now that you have thumb linear, find finger linears using the chart on pg 7 of the Wiki fit PDF...
Don't worry if they come out to be forward pitches, it will be comfortable...
After doing this you can adjust for thumb length and skin (sticky or dry). As a point of reference, I have moist/sticky skin but I am better off with no adjutment as I use a combo of Magic Carpet, hada tape on back of thumb and bowlers tape on front of the hole and I find that this cancels out the sticky skin factor... but then everyone is different.
To determine thumb laterals use a cylinder of the appropiate size for your hand: large hands can use a soda can, me I have a small hand so I used a cylinder about the size of a small energy drink can...
http://wiki.bowlingchat.net/wiki/index. ... bpitch.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you need to adjust for fan chart line refer to page 8 of the Wiki Fit PDF, I am on line A so I skipped this step...
After this, the step on page 9 is very important: check for finger nail pressure
Bowl with the new grip for a while and be alert for pain or too much pressure/stress on fingers (I had to shorten RF span 1/16" after testing grip).
Hope this helps!

A question of getting the right number from thumb angle pitch. Which span should I use, mf, rf or centre grip line?

Re: Where to start wiki fit?
Step 1 find span measuring at a line exactly in the middle between the creases, preferably using the innovative fitting ball.
Step 2 adjust for each finger flexibility
Step 3 with the resulting spans of step 2 use the thumb chart
In my case I used the smallest of the 2 spans: MF 3 7/8"
That's how I got 1/16" Forward for my thumb.
Hope this helps

Re: Where to start wiki fit?
Both my mf and rf length is 41/4. So I should take 4 1/4 and my thumb web is 90* which is fairy tight.
1/8 rev is the answer.
