Re: Ok ok ok, I'm finally ready to admit I have a problem...
Broken Arrow most of the time not being able to play straight is caused by excessive axis rotation (releasing too much off the side of the ball). A 16 mph monitor ball with 450-500 rpms will go straight with 20-30 degrees axis rotation, many of the youth I coach have these specs and have no problem ...

Re: Ok ok ok, I'm finally ready to admit I have a problem...
I have a similar issue I'm fighting. I'm not a big hooker but have my comfort zone standing near the middle and throwing right up the 7 board. My Squatch pearl goes straight until the breakpoint then turns hard right (lefty here). Last night rolled 208, 254, then the wheels fell off. Lost my line. ...

Yep! He convinced me about this ball a while back. When urethane is in play Webber has scored very high on various tournaments with them.

Cupped wrists are over rated, cocked wrist may cause wrist injury.

Sarge Easter is used to take the ring finger out of the release, mainly because of injury.

Different reaction, urethane is early rolling and smooth in the back.

Re: purple hammer
Cause it’s the best ball ever. Sorry, don’t want to start the urethane argument but if you have 350 rpms Plus and at least 17 mph, are consistent in launch angle, have good control of your roll and are playing sport patterns, a pair of purples can be a great choice if the conditions allow for it, I ...

Yes you can polish urethane and it will go longer, also consider rolling plastic balls, a Track Spare + is a great ball.

Glenn, you can donate your excess balls to youth leagues. Note, Mo was once Del’s teacher, coaches evolve and develop their own theories based on their own empirical data they have gathered and Del has done just that. Not saying that Mo or Del are right or wrong but they both have their logical reas...

Re: Looking for a little help with angles...
If a bowler wants to hit a specific board at the pins passing on a straight line through a specific board at the arrows there is exactly one board where the ball must land on your lay down point. For every board you miss right or left at your lay down you will miss 3 boards left or right at the pins...

Re: Two Handed Bowling Styles: Type "O", Type "P".
Just to add, if an O style two hander slides forward with his or her hips perpendicular to the intended LOP, the circle will misalign left and they will tend to miss left (for a right hander). O style two handers need to have somewhat open hips at delivery, their slide foot will most likely be diago...

Re: Direction and Line of Play
Hips, chest and swing should be aligned with intended line of play from address to release. How much angle? Ok, if ball is being release on 10 to hit 10 at the arrows in a line towards the bottom left corner of the 6 pin (10 board), launch angle is zero... Now if you were to lay the ball down on 39 ...

Oh and don’t try to fix his follow through, this is a symptom not a cause. Release drills and swing and slide drills will help isolate the parts of his technique he needs to work on.

Re: Two hander fighting extremely high track
A proper rear view video aligning swing slot with line of play would help diagnose better but here it goes. 1)We need to make sure the ball is substituting the ball side leg on the way forward, can’t really tell from video but this is essential to get into the best release position possible. If he c...

Re: Should I get' the phase 3?
All ten pins, ringing or not are caused by deflection. It sounds like your ball is not getting to the roll phase soon enough. Learn about the three phases of ball motion (skid, hook, roll) and develop an eye for watching your ball transition from skid to hook and then from hook to roll. Watch it lea...
