Re: Online program to calculate layouts?
Is there such a program? There have been already several excel-based programs posted to this site that will calculate layouts based on the given release specs. Some of them works pretty accurate. Should you rely on the given results? maybe not but it is at least a quick reference... Here is few tha...

Re: Blister on inside of ring finger
Welcome to Bowlingchat! You should provide a little more spec's of your current grip in order for anyone to be able to give advise to you. What are the pitches on your holes? Two things that can cause that type of problem is too long span and/or excessive forward pitch on fingers. BUT these can not ...

Re: Question about measuring rev rate
Today when everybody basically have a small computer on their pocket it should not be so hard to determine the rev's. Here is the way that I use to quickly calculate the revs on the lane: I normally use slow motion camera (120fps) on my phone/tablet. It is possible to use "normal" frame ra...

Re: IT vs Switch Grip
I have used small pieces of scotch tape on the outside of one of my inners to tighten it up. I will give your method a try. Thank you. +1 for scotch tape. I have 5 balls that have them. When the slug is too loose on the hole, I put one stripe of scotch tape almost all the way from bottom to the sur...

Re: How much would you pay?
If you got a decent fitting/layout -services also at the same time, i think it is a fair price. A PSO that can value the work little higher should be certain of the service level. Also comparing the internet price's does not give really good reference since the gear requires also some labour cost's ...

Re: Young people wearing Wrist Supports
Could it have something to do with my ball fit (span,pitch,...). Or is it really all strength and build? In case we are talking about a normal, healthy person it is not about strength at all. If you are using so much muscle force that you get tired in few games, there must be some issue in either t...

Re: Chicken wing cause?
Three root causes for chicken winging: timing, timing and timing. Problen is to determine what causes bad timing. swing starting height, feet speed, correct first timing point for example... many variables that can be the reason why.... Needles to say, the swing itself should be relaxed and quite st...

Re: PBA Clash on FOX using Spectro
I was able to play with this equipment a while ago. At least for me it showed quite accurate rev rates at the point of release. I verified the rev rate using video capture.

Re: Brunswick BTU Pearl?
It may be better than urethane, but that would be because it's not urethane. In my own empirical research I’ve found that when compared to true urethane balls, only thing better in BTU is included in the name of the ball. Always either very snappy at the back end or just plain roller to me. B...

Re: Beginner - Shoes modification to get more traction
you need to "push" with your left leg backwards to get more speed in the ball. This is bothering me a bit. I'd say that if you are coaching, especially a beginner, you should really focus more about making the speed with a proper swing rather than faster feet. And yes, you can add ball sp...

Re: I need fitting help
3. Your lateral finer pitches should add up to at least 3/4" to allow sufficient depth before they intersect. The wiki guide fan chart pitches simulate pivoting the ball to your fan line and drill 3/8" left and 3/8" right. So for a 16* fan line, if you drill the fingers 5/16" le...

Re: Lowest average ever seen to bowl over 200+(almost double
how did you get so many splits? you had to be missing right alot to be leaving the 1 with that mess. There is no simple answer to that. Combine the worst luck with mental frustration after couple splits on the first frames. I remember that I moved around 15 boards area (on feet) trying to chase the...

Re: Lowest average ever seen to bowl over 200+(almost double
Krava - another FYI My highlight moment from a competition few years ago: https://i.imgur.com/5BZZt2B.png Bowling is a game with so many variables that you simply can't expect everything to go on predicted path. I averaged about 170-180 back the day on sport pattern with six games. BTW. Frames 4 and...

Re: Do Radical balls have tendency to "die"
I have found that ultrasonic cleaning does wonders on radical surfaces. The cover on radical ball is acting like a sponge. This is not obvious for all manufacturers... I have not yet met a Radical ball that does not act like a sponge. At least for me this is a good thing because I have the US washer...

101 Tips To Improve Your Game - Instructional Guide (1991)
First I thought to post this on some of the urethane ball-threads but making own topic seems more reasonable. Got my hands on this very nice instructional guide from early 90's and thought it would be nice to scan and share it here with others. Nice summer reading while waiting for the next season t...

Re: USBC New Ball Specs
I bowled way better on all of these patterns than I do on a house shot! I only used my Grizz bowling ball at 500 grit. I had several 200 plus games and averaged higher on all the patterns than I do on a house shot. Additionally, I loved these sport shots because they are very predictable. If you mi...

I was asking about the Sleeve that goes into the ball, Female part of coupling... if you have a CAD file for that. Also, what material do you print thumbs in? I have PLA and PETG. I am assuming you print them .003-.010" large I.D. and sand? Well, most of the stuff that I made is just for testi...

Hey you! I found your designs before I even ordered my Prusa clone kit! I saw it was for a Dremel and did not even consider chopping it up for a full size Ryobi. Duh... I LOVE the ruler - it was the first thing I printed in PETG, and I ordered some digital inside calipers to model my thumb. Do you ...
