Re: Layout Advice Track Paradox
Mo suggests keeping the Val angle 45 for that layout so I'd stick to that. otherwise I think you'll be happy with it.

Re: The low flare layout on asymmetrical balls
I think Mo said somewhere that there was no need for going over the 90° drill angle with the new weight rules since you didn't nees to worry anymore about the cg placement. I've also asked Mo about his studies about the pin to psa line and he states that he has done the research and talks about it i...

Re: Confused about Pin to PAP distances?
That kind of recommendation makes sense. It is about getting the ball to roll. Too many people are concerned about side to side. With someone that has a lot of revs And alot of speed who regularly has to loft the gutter hell yes put the pin out there to 6". Mo has twice recommended how I drill...

Re: Confused about Pin to PAP distances?
Eric, I noticed something in the seminar video I haven’t heard before. Mo recomends 5.75-6.5 pin to paps on asymmetricals for no thumbers. I am going to email him a couple of questions regarding no thumb drillings and report back. I noticed the same and am 99% sure he was talking about the psa to p...

Re: Bowling in 1980?
you're both right and you are both wrong. It's just a matter of perspective. On the right conditions the 500 grit bowling ball will hook more before it enters the pins in terms of boards covered then the polished one because the polished one hasn't released it's energy at the right spits. Then again...

Re: Acceptable # of balls for THS
I never bring less than 6 with me in any competition. Why would I limit my options of the best scoring conditions I can? Even though I could make any ball in my arsenal work on a house shot my thirst for winning is larger than my thirst for showing people how versatile I can be with only 2 balls whe...

Re: Mathematic formula to figure out where to stand
Ok lets see... 36’-31=5... 5-5=0... 0+5=5... 5+6=11... so one can’t stand 11 to roll 5 at the arrows straight to 5 at 36’??? 44-31=13 pattern exit 20(arrows) 13(pattern exit)=7 7+20(arrows)=27 27+6(bowler’s magic number 5,6 or 7)=33 So stand 33 roll 20 at arrows out to 13 at 44’ Gunso you said it’s...

you are obviously not happy with my answer. prove me wrong. how can the formula work the same for a 35-40-45 foot pattern?TonyPR wrote:

math would say that is incorrect when lane patterns can be 36 feet or 44 feet for example

Re: Cover dominant symmetricals, no thumb and balance hole b
I'd rather drill the ball with a slightly more flaring pin to pap distance than start adding a variance to the release. With the amount of ball available today you also could just buy a slightly higher diff ball as well to the desired flare with the pin to pap distance. From my experience it will ta...

Re: Bowling on Urethane carry down.
So, you’re going to clean your *opponent’s* urethane ball in between shots with your shammy? Maybe they are that much more absorbent than a clean micro-fiber, I don’t know... but it won’t help you when following urethane on a pair. From my experience, which is not in the USA, is that people who pla...

Re: looking for some help with a new bowler fitting!
I think there is a huge problem with selling somebody who wants hook a polyester or even the lowest of the entry level balls. People want tonsee hook and they will do what it takes to hook the ball. Having them throw polyester or the lowest entry level balls will make them hook the ball the wrong wa...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots
From the discussions that have been here it is pretty obvious you are not bowling on a christmas tree house shot but rather a puddle in the middle and nothing on the outside. If you are playing straight up 8 and the oil line is on the 10 board then easy house pattern isn't helping you at all since a...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots
Just as an afterthought. Why not take the stronger gladiator up in surface. say like a wet 4000 and see how that goes as well. That should give him a ball up from the polished jackpot since he obviously doesn't want to mess with the polish. Or take the rack attack and throw a 1000 on it as a ball up...

Re: Help Nord Score On House Shots
what you got into was the same thing the pros ru into when bowling on national television with all the television lights.
and what you see the pros do on television is moving left faster than during qualifying because the lane dries out much quicker in the midlane with all that heat.

Re: Need help with my two handed release!
It's been like a 3-4 year struggle with me. for some pitch changes have worked. basically having more forward in your middle finger conpared to ring finger. In the end it fibally has lowered a bit, especially with strong asyms, and it was no pitch changes that finally did it. Just stopped worrying a...

Re: 2018 US Women's Open Final Observations
watched the telecast again with this discussion particularly in mind. It was obvious that Liz ball roll matched up slightly better than the others. slower speed with more rotation which had a bit more miss room right. It was also obvious she caught a few lucky breaks that others didn't which could h...
