Is there a new library of oil patterns particularly World Bowling? To cite some examples

Bank 3 Mexico 43
Any references will surely be appreciated.

Well thanks anyway, I hope WTB respond to me sooner although not really expecting it. If they do, I will update this post.

Re: Question on Ball Alteration (Surface adjustment) WTBA Ru
Yes. Games and Rounds are usually two different things, A round would typically consist of X number of games. So those two rules address the periods before and between rounds and the periods between games during the rounds. Thanks Bowl1820. I have emailed the same to the WTB office. By the way, jus...

Re: Question on Ball Alteration (Surface adjustment) WTBA Ru
So both should be applied not only one in the absence of a stipulated rule, as besides 4.10.1 would mean it goes hand in hand with 4.10.2 not one over the other.bowl1820 wrote:Just guessing here, replies in yellow.

Question on Ball Alteration (Surface adjustment) WTBA Rule
In section 4.10 of WTBA Rules: Ball Alterations 4.10.1 Bowling ball surface adjustments by hand are acceptable between games provided they are done in the designated area and that the adjustment procedure does not delay the bowler’s next turn. Use of chemicals see 2.10.1. 4.10.2 Altering the surface...

Re: Balance arm / torso
Thanks 2y2 or your informative reply. I get the boi-mechanics of bowling, no problem there. Watching the ETBF video, they compared javelin throwing to bowling, the balance arm going forward, the torso twisting then the throwing arm coming forward, the torso generating power. Does power equal speed?...

"Using the Exit Point - To develop a formula, I took the raw data from the research and simplified it. The rounded data fell into nice linear formula: Exit Point = Pattern Length – 31, where the exit point is the board at the end of the pattern." The exit point of the 37ft pattern would b...

When he says "Rag arming", "No 4th of July, putting a American flag in your hand and go swing it for ole glory" or the little quip about "flagellation" LOL That's referring to the swinging of the arm back and forth (pendulum like) after the shot. (you can just make out...

How about in between games? Like a 6-game block? I thought you are allowed to sand the ball after the game until the next game of the block begins.

The video is a good reference for bowlers and coaches alike. I would like to comment that if you have bought the DVD of the System by Mark Baker, pretty much what has been discussed (position at the back and at the side) in this video of course with less explanation than Mark's.

Re: Determining Drill Angle for Sport pattern
It means exactly what I said. Low drill angle to read friction as early as possible. High drill angle on longer patterns is the exact opposite of what you'd want. I think I get the idea. My question is how low or what guidelines do we observe in terms of the ratio of DA vs. VAL based on the bowler'...

Re: Determining Drill Angle for Sport pattern
I wrote that article in the wiki. Based on the strategy in the article, the drill angle will remain low to read friction at the earliest point possible. For higher tilt and rotation guys, or speed dominant bowlers, adjust even lower, you can go all the way down to 10 degrees. When you say "wil...

Re: USBC revokes certification approval of two Motiv balls
Does it really matter if there was an irregularity that was removed by the bit? Practically, no. It was removed, it doesn't matter. But actually? The USBC spells out the limits for undrilled balls, it's there for anyone to read and understand. This isn't 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules. Moti...

Determining Drill Angle for Sport pattern
Quoted from Wiki of Sport Pattern layout: "Sport bowling layouts control the back part of the lane and read where the end of the pattern is, and where the friction spots are within the pattern. How do we do this? We burn tilt and rotation faster, reduce the drill angle to read the pattern early...
